Eye on Design is published as part of AIGA, the professional association for design, the oldest and largest not-for-profit membership organization for design in the United States—with 71 chapters and more than 26,000 members.

André Beato is a Portuguese graphic designer and Illustrator, who received his Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design and his Master's in Design Visual Culture: Visual Production from IADE (Instituto de Artes Visuais Design e Marketing) in Lisbon before moving to London, where he works as a freelancer, mostly in vector-based graphics. Beato’s use of bright colors and bold, sculptural shapes speaks to his love of midcentury pop culture, while his finely rendered forms reveal the influence of his father’s work in illustration and graphic design. His ’80s-inspired graphics can be seen in Time Out London, Field & Stream magazine, and in the printed materials for Nike and Carhartt.
