AIGA Eye on Design turns a well trained eye on the best new work from the world’s leading emerging and established designers. We love design, and try to do it justice without taking it all too seriously.

Eye on Design is published as part of AIGA, the professional association for design, the oldest and largest not-for-profit membership organization for design in the United States—with 71 chapters and more than 26,000 members.

After completing the graphic design program at Mohawk College in Ontario, Canada in 2010, Ricardo Gonzalez worked at Apace Screen Printing LTD, the oldest printing shop in Ottawa, where he moved up from screen printer, to junior graphic designer and finally to production manager. Two years later, he moved to Toronto to work as a freelance graphic designer, but after just four months he headed down south to his home town of Durango, Mexico, to work full-time as an independent designer. Then, in the summer of 2014, he moved to New York City to attend Type@Cooper where he earned a typeface design diploma from Cooper Union. He’s currently based in Brooklyn.
