Typography fans, charge your phones, because you’re going to be living via the @36daysoftype Instagram feed from now until May 3, 2016. For the next 36 days, Rafa Goicoechea and Nina Sans, the two Barcelona-based designers behind 36 Days of Type, will be furiously curating daily type submissions in the third annual edition of their growing Instagram type experimentation project. Last year they received between 600-2,000 submissions every day that they then whittled down to about 60, which were featured on their feed.

Me, I like to watch, but for type designers looking for a creative outlet or to boost their online presence, it’s very simply to participate. To submit a letter on a given day, just post it on your feed along with the two hashtags #36daysoftype #36days_A. For day two, you’d use #36daysoftype #36days_B, etc. all the way through the alphabet, numerals 0-9, and finishing with a bonus round of every designer’s favorite character, the ampersand.
