A good independent magazine shop is hard to find, and while Las Vegas may not be the first place you’d expect to casually browse top titles like The Great Discontent and Hello Mr., AIGA Design Conference goers can find a respite from the buzz of the crowd (1,800 strong this year) and flip through more than 20 of the world’s best magazines at the Eye on Design x magCulture shop, located in the Design Fair. If you’re not already familiar with magCulture’s brick-and-mortar store in London or its blog, a must-bookmark to keep up with what’s new in print and the people who make it, come, let’s get acquainted.

Even if you don’t have a reserved spot at the always-packed Emerging Designers Symposium on Monday, October 17, hosted by TGD’s Tina Essmaker and featuring Hello Mr.’s Ryan Fitzgibbon, come by the shop on opening night to meet the magazine makers and pick up a copy of the latest issue for them to sign (you’ve got just a few days to think of a witty inscription).

We’ll be offering 20 titles from the far corners of the globe, including some of the most sought-after, thought-provoking (or just plain provocative) magazines, hand-picked by Eye on Design’s editors and magCulture. It’s also the only place you can pick up limited-edition Eye on Design goodies and catch a sneak-peek teaser of our super secret new video series, launching this fall.
