Every Friday afternoon we raise a glass to celebrate some of the best new boozy bottles to hit store shelves. Today we’re bypassing the muddy puddles in NYC (in June!) to savor the romantic qualities of a rainy summer day. Not convinced? These dreamy and subtle designs will have you getting introspective like a soothing backdrop of raindrops gently rapping against a window.

Hemingway’s Secret Sip Whisky, by Kasperi Salovaara
Few things are more attractive than curling up with a good book on a rainy day, but this whisky-hidden-in-a-book project takes it to a new, much more discreet level. Not only is this stunner cool and subtle (the basic requirement of any flask) but the simple elegance of the design also has us convinced it might be the chicest “secret sip” we’ve seen yet.

Bocanegra, by Futura
Unlike most beers, which lean toward a “rustic campfire” look, this stark black-and-white packaging fully embraces a dark, mysterious, and intellectual aesthetic. The Monterrey-based design firm Futura (no stranger to our Happy Hour series) is the perfect companion for your brooding session—or should we say, “brew-ding” session? (Sorry… I couldn’t resist)

Aberfeldy Single Malt Scotch Whisky, by Stranger & Stranger
There’s nothing like sneaking a sip of dad’s good whisky to defuse cabin fever, and maybe even elevate boredom to relaxing “me” time. Stranger & Stranger’s redesign of this elegant whisky bottle is glossier and cooler, without losing the timeless essence of the original. We love how the san serif cleans up the clutter and brings orderly hierarchy to the label.

Glare Cellar, by Marina Porté
The skies might be grey and somber, but this nebulous illustration has us dreaming of pretty clouds backlit by a sunny glow. The label is lovely in an ethereal and conceptual way, and keeps things clean with lots of white space and a commanding, coppery shine boldly intersecting the illustration.

P&T Vodka Tea Infusion Kit, by Great Works
As the summer heats up, we’re ditching our piping mug of London Fog for this refreshing Paper and Tea x Our/Berlin Vodka collaboration. This summery vodka tea infusion set is the perfect way to bring summer loving indoors with clean type, pretty pastels, and crisp minimalism.
